Some animal lovers say, with good reason, that a trip to the Wisconsin Northwoods is better than going to a zoo. The millions of acres of forests, waters, and wetlands surrounding Presque Isle are home to an astounding array of wildlife. While you never know what you may see or hear on any given day, it is practically guaranteed that you will witness the presence of creatures that you would otherwise experience only on TV or in picture books.
